• Hydration in the days leading up is crucial. Try and have a water bottle with you at all times. Bonus points if you can get some electrolytes in before race day.
  • The race is early.  Planning days before is going to make the morning of a lot less stressful. This means; bib pinned on the night before, kit out and ready to put on in the morning, knowing when and what to eat for breakfast, knowing what time you will leave your accommodation and most importantly, where and when you will go to the toilet! The more prepared you are the night before, the more energy you'll have saved for the race!
  • On the start line, take a few minutes to reflect on the highs and lows of your training block. You have evidence of your resilience, know that you can do hard things.
  • Finishing in the G is a very unique experience, don’t get off the ground as soon as you finish! This allows you to soak up all the race day vibes, share it with not only friends but the people you meet on the day! Once you leave the grass, you can’t go back on so make the most of it.
